Ferrari has radically changed its approach for the 2026 Formula 1 season. We are talking about a philosophy geared towards aggressiveness, strongly advocated by Lewis Hamilton and desired by the French Technical Director Loïc Serra.

It is no coincidence that the SF-26 is a true concentration of micro-solutions, many of which are unprecedented, that could set a benchmark within the paddock. First and foremost, the work on the floor inlet, which we can observe in the following illustration.

Today, however, we offer a brief focus on a very interesting element: we are talking about the twist on the aerodynamic winglet located in the lower section of the rear brakes.

This is a significant technical detail, already introduced a few Grands Prix ago (most likely during the Miami weekend), on the leading edge of the brake duct.

Previously, this deflector showed a decidedly more linear and straight profile. A true fine-tuning job by the Maranello team, useful for optimizing the management of the airflow hitting the rear end, effectively sealing the sidewall of the diffuser.

All of this highlights how every single component of the Maranello single-seater is obsessively refined to extract maximum performance.
