Accurate analisys remain difficult following the Barcelona closed-door testing. Nevertheless, despite the limited resolution of the images circulating online—and supported by Carlo Platella’s early observations—it is evident that Adrian Newey has further radicalized also the front suspension layouts developed on his most recent Red Bull cars in the new AMR26. The upper wishbone has been replaced by a multilink configuration, echoing the solution adopted on the 2019 RB15, while the steering rack has been repositioned rearwards, consistent with the layout seen on the 2020 RB16. Equally aggressive is the markedly rearward rear pickup point of the lower wishbone. This reflects an extreme optimization strategy aimed at maximizing aerodynamic integration, with suspension component placement being carefully engineered to condition and guide airflow toward the sidepod inlets, reinforcing the tight coupling between mechanical layout and external aero performance.
