McLaren in Canada modified just for Norris the front suspension to give Lando a better feedback of the front of the car as he had in last year’s MCL38. Piastri had no complain and decided to remain with the standard system (inset). This allowed to make a good comparison between the 2 MCL39. The drawings shows the crucial clue. The upper wishbones of the Norris version mount to the wheel has a slightly thicker cross-sections and a little bended in order to modify the suspension’s king pin inclination.
